Video Transcript

"To keep the market operational we needed to keep customers away from producers, organisers away from customers, keep organisers away from producers, keep the producers in business. We wanted to avoid payment at the point of delivery and reduce the numbers on the location at any one time. And of course everything had to be thoroughly cleaned both before and after use. Customers can now order online products, they have a choice of about 20 store holders now.

Customers are emailed a pick-up time, each car stops 10 metres away from the market and opens their boot, then it drives to the pick-up area with its order number  displayed in the window. The order pickers then pack the shopping into the customer’s boot and off they drive. We’ve provided an income stream for over 20 small producers and  enabled our customers to continue to purchase quality local produce."
