Hi, I’m Suzie from Suzie K at The Secret Garden, we’re an alternative gift shop located in the beautiful city of Chester. We’re placed in The Rows, which means we’re in a 16th century building over two floors. We have quirky small rooms, we have bottleneck areas for customers, and we have a staircase to manage.

With this in mind, we’ve got now a queuing system set up outside, with social distancing in mind, and a one-way system going through the shop with signage on the floors.

We’ve put a hand sanitisation station outside, and one inside the shop.

We’ve fitted a mirror on the staircase, which means people will be able to see who’s going up and who’s coming down.

We’re also in the process of putting screenage up outside the till area, and our refreshment coffee lounge area.

We’re also putting in place a click and collect and phone orders section, which will be outside the shop, on the rows, so that people who don’t want to enter the shop can still visit us.
